The Process
People will often ask us "Can you build me a simple site for $500?". If you study the design process below, you will see what we do is anything but simple. We don't install a pre-made Wordpress theme and slap your logo on it. We build our sites around your business model, and then make sure everything you need to get started building your business, both on and off-site, is taken care of.
Consultation & Pre-Design
Through phone consultations and a written questionnaire, we gather as much information as possible, including menu layout, calls to action, and targetted keyword phrases.
Mockup Phase
After mocking up the home page and interior page layout for your site in Adobe Fireworks or Photoshop, we will work one on one with you to make changes to this mockup until it is laid out the way you want.
Domain Registration & Management
If you don't have the knowledge or desire to do it yourself, we will register and maintain your domain name for you. A yearly renewal fee applies.
Live Theme Setup
A custom coded Wordpress theme will be built based on the mockup you approved. All of our sites are built on the Genesis Framework from Studiopress.
Adding Content
Once the theme is setup, the content can be added. Depending on the project, we may do some or all of this for you. Alternatively, you can add the content yourself.
Launch
The site will launch once passing an extensive 100+ point checklist including: browser and mobile compatability, valid XHTML and CSS code, broken link checks, 301 redirects, and more.

Below is a list of the features common throughout most of our designs. Not shown below are the custom, one-of-a-kind features we build for our clients. If you don't see something you need, just ask, and we can probably build it for you.
Full SEO Control
We will build out the site with SEO in mind, but down the road, you have full control over all on-site SEO (page titles, descriptions, etc...) through Wordpress and Genesis SEO settings.
Slider or Slideshow
Scrolling or fading slides of content (or simply attractive images) are a great way to grab users attentions and direct them to important interior pages on your site.
Social Media Integration
Connnect your Facebook, Twitter, Google+, etc profiles to your site. Showcase social media action buttons, feeds, profile links, and more.
Custom Home Page
Sometimes, depending on the goal of the site, the home page layout may need to be different than the interior pages. Perhaps with a full width content and no sidebars.
Site & Database Backups
You will have access to the Wordpress backend. So if accidentally screw anything up, or if any other sort of disaster strikes, we keep regular backups that can be quickly restored.
Wordpress Updates
Keeping the Wordpress core and all plugins up-to-date is absolutely crucial for the security of your site. You can manage updates yourself, but we will also keep an eye on things for you.
Google Analytics
We run Google Analytics on all sites so you can keep abreast of your site performance and how people interact with your site.
Google/Bing Webmaster Tools
At launch time, we register your site with both Google and Bing Webmaster Tools and keep your sitemap up to date with both.
Google Places/Bing Local
A crucial component of local search, we'll setup these local search engine profiles for you.
Open Graph Tags
We'll make sure your Open Graph tags are set properly so you can effectively and efficiently share your content on social networks.
Google Authorship Tags
If you plan on creating regular posts on your site, identifying your work to Google and linking it to your Google+ profile is vital. We'll set these up for you.
Pricing
Pricing can vary widely depending on your needs. It's impossible to give exact numbers on a custom project without knowing the details, but these numbers should get you started.
Real estate websites without IDX cost about the same as sites with IDX as there is often additional functionality that takes the same amount of time to setup and customize.
Monthly fees average $39 a month. This allows us to keep a monthly monitor on the site, keep Wordpress and all of its plugins up to date (so it does not get hacked), monitor Google Analytics, Google Webmaster tools, and Bing Webmaster tools for errors, make daily backups of your site so if you mess anything up we can revert it back, monitor Google Places and Bing Local, and more.
